First Mining Intersects 7.18 g/t Au over 8 m at the Miroir Target and Provides Duparquet Project Update

First Mining Gold Corp. has achieved notable drill results at the Duparquet Gold Project in Quebec, pushing mineralization to greater depths and revealing high-grade intervals. Alongside expanding discoveries at the Miroir target, the company is launching an environmental baseline program, underscoring its commitment to responsible development.

Key Takeaways:

  • The 2025 drilling program covered 16,577 meters at the Duparquet Gold Project.
  • The Miroir target now extends to a vertical depth of 250 meters, showing multiple high-grade intervals.
  • Ongoing environmental baseline data collection signals a step toward regulatory approvals.
  • Work continues at additional targets, including Valentre, Normandie, and Lumière.
  • First Mining plans to build on these results in its 2026 exploration campaign.

Project Scope and Background

The Duparquet Gold Project, located in the Abitibi region of Quebec, Canada, has seen extensive drilling by First Mining Gold Corp. In 2025 alone, the company completed 16,577 meters of drilling, targeting growth zones and refining its geological models. According to CEO Dan Wilton, the latest findings demonstrate the project’s expanding prospects and potential for meaningful resource definition.

Miroir Target Yields Promising Results

Recent drilling highlights include hole DUP25-085, which intersected 3.74 g/t gold over 15.5 meters and 7.18 g/t over 8.0 meters, including a notable 30.58 g/t over 1.65 meters. Similarly, hole DUP25-081 returned 1.56 g/t over 33.15 meters. These intercepts extend the mineralized envelope to 250 meters below surface—a 150-meter expansion from previous data—and suggest that the Miroir zone remains open both at depth and along strike.

“This high-grade mineralization underscores the potential for significant resource growth at Duparquet,” Wilton said in a statement. “We’re excited to push forward with the next phase, continuing to expand on the Miroir success.”

Additional Exploration Targets

Beyond Miroir, the company tested other promising zones. At the Valentre target, DUP25-074 intersected 1.92 g/t gold over 9.3 meters, including 2.80 g/t over 4.8 meters. Nearby, the Normandie target returned 1.39 g/t gold over 4.0 meters (hole DUP25-068), and the Lumière target yielded 7.74 g/t gold over 1.4 meters near surface (hole DUP25-086). These results demonstrate additional potential for near-surface mineralization across the property.

Environmental Baseline and Community Engagement

First Mining has commenced a comprehensive environmental baseline data collection program, an essential step toward securing the regulatory approvals needed to advance the Duparquet development. The company collaborates with Stantec, capitalizing on shared experience from Ontario’s Greenstone Gold Mine project. Ongoing dialogue with local stakeholders, including the City of Duparquet, underscores a shared goal of responsible project progression.

2026 Outlook

With the 2025 drilling analysis under way, First Mining aims to finalize its 2026 exploration program plans by the second quarter. Priorities include continued drilling at the Miroir target to build on promising results and further define resource potential. The company intends to optimize site planning and move toward a possible feasibility study in the coming year, building on success from a 2023 Preliminary Economic Assessment.

Significant 2025 Drill Intercepts

Below is a selection of key intercepts from the latest drilling program:

As the program advances, the Company will continue updating resource models, incorporating fresh insights into its 2026 drilling and engineering plans. By combining these technical milestones with a proactive environmental approach, First Mining looks to position the Duparquet Gold Project as a growth engine for the region.
