Four Davis County 4-H and FFA members will soon compete for the 2026 Premier Stockman Award. The Davis County Fair sets the stage for these ambitious young exhibitors as they vie for one of the year’s most respected honors in local agriculture.

Eleven 4-H youth from four counties demonstrated remarkable public speaking prowess at Kaskaskia College. Their achievements led to State Fair selections and division honors in the U of I Extension contest.

Twenty-one dedicated onlookers watched as nine young 4-H members from two counties showcased their poultry and rabbit showmanship skills. Held at the Choteau Volunteer Fire Hall on May 17, this workshop gave participants an opportunity to polish their preparations for upcoming fairs.

Members of Richland County’s 4-H Helping Hands Club got a real-world look at laser engraving on Sunday, Nov. 9. Their visit to Distinction Custom Laser Designs LLC & Metalworks allowed them to explore how technology and creativity come together in modern manufacturing.
