Portland Trail Blazers head coach Chauncey Billups and Miami Heat guard Terry Rozier were arrested Thursday amid allegations of illegal sports betting and rigged poker games. More than 30 individuals now face charges linked to the same alleged Mafia-backed operation.

Tiago Splitter is stepping into the Portland Trail Blazers’ interim head coaching role following the indefinite leave of Chauncey Billups. Splitter, a former NBA player and champion coach in Europe, joined the Blazers’ staff last offseason.
