Rutland City Police are honing a new approach to local law enforcement—on two wheels. While Officers Tim Rice and Eric Morgano report no major chases since starting bicycle patrols, the bikes have already helped them steer suspects into custody with minimal commotion.

Niskayuna Police Sgt. Brandon Maura, a graduate of Niskayuna High School, has been chosen as the district’s new School Resource Officer. His selection comes as the SRO program returns to the district after a 17-year absence, marking a homecoming that promises renewed community engagement.

Clymer Borough Council is actively hiring a full-time patrol officer to strengthen its local police force. This effort underscores the borough’s commitment to ensuring public safety and meeting law enforcement needs.

The Jackson Police Department has been honored with the Tennessee Municipal League’s Excellence in Police Services Award, recognizing their dedication to constitutional and community policing.
