This April, Royal Oak will witness a skyward surprise as 15,000 marshmallows descend on Worden Park. Hosted by Oakland County Parks, the Great Marshmallow Drop starts at 10 a.m. on April 3 and promises an unforgettable, family-friendly morning.

Gladstones Malibu will honor members of the Los Angeles Fire Department for their rapid response to last year’s fire along the coastline. The public event on Friday, Feb. 20, from 11 a.m. to noon will mark the one-year anniversary of the blaze. Residents are welcome to join at 17300 Pacific Coast Highway.
