Authorities in Halifax County have charged a Roanoke Rapids man with child abuse, following reports of a domestic incident on July 9. Deputies responded to a residence on Coleus Lane shortly after 5 p.m., where they encountered what was initially described as a possible domestic disturbance.

Police in Woodburn, Oregon, responded to a call reporting a domestic disturbance on Friday, May 29, at Woodburn Villa Apartments. Officers arrived at around 7:08 p.m., leading to a standoff and ultimately the arrest of a suspect.
