Thunder Bay residents gathered on Sunday to commemorate fallen police officers in what officials called “a very special day.” Three local constables were honored during the memorial service. Attendees paid tribute to their courage and sacrifice on behalf of the community.

The Pottawatomie County Sheriff’s Office commemorated the 130th anniversary of Deputy Will Turner’s death, honoring his sacrifice on their Facebook page. Deputy Turner was killed in 1895 during a deadly encounter in Oklahoma. The tribute underscores the lasting impact of law enforcement officers’ sacrifices.
