Carter Wright claimed the Class 1A wrestling title at 215 pounds in convincing style, capping a successful state tournament for Woodbury Central. The Wildcats brought home team hardware as four other wrestlers secured second-place finishes.

Wrestling season kicked off in Boonville on December 6 as Adirondack Central School hosted the 12th annual Captain Anthony Bailey Memorial at Adirondack High School. The tournament opened the squad’s winter competition and honored a tradition that has become a local sports fixture.
