Ed “Eddie” Giacomin, a Hall of Fame goaltender and five-time All-Star for the New York Rangers, has died at age 86. Known for his remarkable skill in net and a career that spanned 610 games, Giacomin left a lasting mark on hockey, culminating in his No. 1 jersey being retired by the Rangers in 1989.
