An inmate at Folsom State Prison was allegedly killed by two other inmates on Friday evening, according to the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation. The incident involved inmates identified as Boris Bonilla, Carlos J. Duran, and Brian J. Diguez.

A corrections officer testified that she attempted to calm a patient before he was restrained and died at the state prison’s psychiatric unit. The testimony came during the trial of a former officer accused of killing the patient.

Authorities are investigating the death of 36-year-old inmate, **Leanna Washington**, who was found unresponsive in her holding cell at the Chambers County Detention Facility. Despite lifesaving efforts by detention deputies and medical personnel, she was pronounced dead, prompting an independent investigation.
