A new middle school is set to rise in Kelowna’s Glenmore neighborhood, offering 800 seats and a fresh educational environment. Located next to the new Parkinson Recreation Centre, Burtch Road Middle School marks a significant addition to a rapidly growing community.

A large RCMP and bylaw officer presence was reported at Kelowna’s Rutland Lions Park Monday afternoon. Cruiser vehicles and tape blocked off the area near the cenotaph around 2:30 p.m., while a search dog was also spotted on site. Police monitored the park entrances as the situation developed.
