Killeen’s The Charming Haven is set to host “Morning and Muffins” this Saturday as part of the annual Small Business Saturday celebration. From 10 a.m. to noon, visitors can enjoy a casual meet-up that encourages community support for local shops. The event highlights the city’s commitment to boosting its homegrown entrepreneurs.

Norma Teresa Thompson, 74, will be honored with a funeral mass on October 14 at 9 a.m. at St. Paul Chong Hasang Catholic Church in Harker Heights. Burial will follow at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen, with Chisolm’s Family Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Family and friends will gather on September 11 to celebrate the life of Marie Duong Staats, 77, at a noon Mass at Saint Paul Chong Hasang Catholic Church in Harker Heights. Fr. Brian McMaster will preside over the service, followed by interment at 2 p.m.
