Envestnet Portfolio Solutions Inc. has reduced its stake in The Kroger Co. by 68.7% in the second quarter. The firm sold 51,077 shares during this period, leaving it with 23,297 shares of the retailer’s stock, according to a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Kroger has announced that shoppers aged 55 and older can enjoy a 5% discount on their total in-store purchases this Wednesday, Sept. 3. Customers can simply present their loyalty card or alternate ID at checkout to secure the savings. The announcement was made Monday and applies for one day only.
