Despite a hesitant opening, Barcelona overcame Newcastle United in a 2–1 UEFA Champions League clash last night. Newcastle created early chances, but once Barcelona gained momentum, there was no looking back.

Pella Christian extended its strong season start by defeating Indianola 7-4 on Monday evening. Both teams split singles 3-3, but the Eagles’ doubles performance sealed their fifth victory of the year, bringing their overall record to 5-1.

Bluffton High School’s volleyball season began with a 3–1 loss to host Garrett at the Garrett 3-Way Invitational. After dropping the first two sets, the Tigers fought back for one win before falling in the fourth. Their next challenge comes on the road at Huntington North.
