Snow kiteboarders in northern Michigan braved winds of 35 to 40 knots, roughly 40 mph, for this year’s Midwest Snow Kite Jam. Emphasizing the thrill of the sport, organizers encouraged participants to “embrace Mother Nature and what she throws at you.”
