A local nature school for homeschoolers and stay-at-home children is celebrating its sixth year of bringing education to the great outdoors. Forest Pals, serving nearly 50 families, meets on Mondays and Wednesdays at Bernheim Forest from September through May. The program’s lively finish this year reflects its focus on community and hands-on learning.

Lucy School near Middletown recently hosted nearly 60 educators eager to refine their teaching skills through arts- and nature-based methods. The gathering offered hands-on experiences designed to spark creativity and elevate classroom engagement.
