Excellus BlueCross BlueShield has named three Utica-based programs as the latest recipients of its 2025 Health Equity Innovation Awards. This annual initiative supports nonprofits working to address health disparities and improve community wellness across upstate New York.

Through the Helpful Harvest Grant Round, the Community Foundation of Herkimer and Oneida Counties recently provided more than $106,000 to 44 organizations. These funds, supported by the Helpful Harvest Fund, aim to tackle hunger by helping food pantries, soup kitchens, and shelters serve local residents.
