Each year, as classes end, Vernon welcomes hundreds of military cadets to its camp. This decades-long tradition unites young people from all branches of the Canadian armed forces for invaluable training, shaping both the region’s history and the cadets’ future.

The Community Foundation North Okanagan has opened applications for its annual Smart and Caring grants, offering close to $300,000 for local projects. By funding a broad range of community programs, the foundation hopes to foster progress and positive change in the region.
