Defending state champions Kingsport Dobyns-Bennett ended Morristown East’s softball season with a decisive 13-3 victory in the first round of the Region One 4-A Tournament at King Park.

The OIT Lady Owls’ hopes of advancing in the NAIA Tournament were dashed after a 5-3 loss to Midland in the opening round finale. “Georgia is no longer on their minds,” as the team concludes their season with this defeat.
