A contracted kitchen worker at the Jefferson County Jail has been charged with promoting contraband after authorities launched an investigation earlier this month. The Sheriff’s Office Jail Staff and Narcotics Detectives say the individual was allegedly bringing illegal items into the facility.

Microsoft has fired two employees who allegedly broke into President Brad Smith’s office earlier this week. The dismissals come on the heels of a protest at Microsoft’s Redmond campus by seven current and former employees.
