Simpson College is set to celebrate a milestone on February 20 with the official ribbon-cutting of its new gymnastics facility. At 10,000 square feet, this fully funded $2.8 million project is poised to strengthen the college’s athletic offerings and student experience.

The City of Indianola and Simpson College launched a Town and Gown Committee in December 2023 to foster stronger bonds between local government and higher education. Originally spearheaded by former Mayor Stephanie Erickson and Simpson President Jay Byers, the initiative continues under current Mayor Steve Richardson.
