In the wake of punishing 100 mph winds, at least 53 homes lie damaged on the Rosebud Reservation in South Dakota. Now, the Salvation Army is stepping up to provide disaster relief and distribute meals to gather hope from the rubble.

Ferocious windstorms tore across central and eastern South Dakota, ripping roofs off homes and flipping vehicles in the early hours of Monday. Hardest hit was the community of Highmore, prompting state officials to respond and assess the damage.
