The Corvette Classic is revving up the Black Hills this weekend. A caravan of enthusiasts arrived in Spearfish after departing Sioux Falls, with a high-powered stop in Sturgis. The event culminates Saturday with a show on Main Street.

Sturgis has announced the appointment of Meade County executive director Rhea Crane as its next city administrator. She will succeed Aaron Jordan, with plans to begin her role mid-August, following approval by the city council on July 6.
