On Saturday, Feb. 21, the Sumiton Police Department held its inaugural awards banquet, hosted by Assistant Chief Chris Lollar. Organized by Lt. Andy Powell and Dispatcher Elizabeth Money, the ceremony honored outstanding service and welcomed former Councilman Bill Fowler as a special guest.
