Thunder Bay residents gathered on Sunday to commemorate fallen police officers in what officials called “a very special day.” Three local constables were honored during the memorial service. Attendees paid tribute to their courage and sacrifice on behalf of the community.

Thunder Bay welcomed its first baby of 2025 when baby girl Freya was born at 1:52 p.m. on New Year’s Day to parents Kesica Yeomans and Noel Marinoff. Both mother and daughter are doing well, marking a joyous start to the new year at Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre.
