A Conway student recently earned recognition from the University of Mississippi. While details on the honor remain limited, the news marks a proud moment for the local community.

Wiggins native Grace Ann Courtney has been named the 2025 Distinguished Young Woman of Mississippi. A recent graduate of the Mississippi School for Mathematics and Science, Courtney will attend the University of Mississippi this fall as a Stamps Scholar.

Despite early-morning showers, over 5,500 students graduated from the University of Mississippi’s 172nd Commencement. A.J. Brown addressed the new alumni, inspiring them with the message: “The playbook is yours.”
