A black-tie-optional evening at The Venue at Cotton Creek on August 9 drew supporters determined to help disabled veterans reconnect with the outdoors. Planned by Laura Rogers and months in the making, the inaugural gala mixed patriotism with personal testimony to launch a new fundraising tradition for the region.
