A proposed $38.3 million in federal funding for water infrastructure projects in Lompoc and the Santa Ynez Valley has moved forward, thanks to approval from the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee. If enacted, this funding would come through the Water Resources Development Act of 2026, bringing much-needed investments to local communities.

Aqua Pennsylvania has secured $16.9 million in combined principal forgiveness and low-interest financing from the Pennsylvania Infrastructure Investment Authority to build five new PFAS treatment facilities. This move aims to protect the drinking water of 16,000 regional residents by addressing contamination at nine local wells.
