A teenager faces arson charges after a neglected fire in New Jersey’s Pine Barrens led to a swift-moving wildfire, affecting air quality as far as New York City.

A 38-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly setting fire to Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro’s mansion, forcing an early morning evacuation of the governor and his family. The blaze severely damaged part of the building.

Governor Josh Shapiro and his family were evacuated from the Pennsylvania Governor’s Residence after a man allegedly set fire to the building during Passover celebrations. The suspect, 38-year-old Cody Balmer, is now in custody.
