Two violin students, Greta Butterworth and Kathryn Ward, have been selected to perform in the 2026 Alabama All-State Orchestra Festival from February 12 to February 16 in Tuscaloosa. Their inclusion marks a significant honor, setting a celebratory tone for the new year and underscoring their dedication to classical music.

From local rehearsals to the world-famous stage at Carnegie Hall, Mountain House student Joanna Raj has been chosen for the High School Honors Performance Series. In February, she will join the Honors Concert Choir as a soprano vocalist in New York City.

Starting Monday, The Lincoln in Cheyenne will provide free guitar lessons to junior high and high school students. This program, in partnership with the Alternative Arts Project, offers local teens a chance to explore music at no cost.

The region’s rising bluegrass musicians showcased their talents at the ‘Pickin’ in the School-Yard’ fundraiser hosted by University School on Saturday. The annual JAM event brought together young artists and community members in a celebration of music and support for local programs.
